We are so glad that you guys are with us and we are just, my goodness, coming along to where we're approaching the mid of this year, halfway through almost. The year is on the move. And listen, I trust and pray that you are growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus and knowing truth from error. I tell you what that's been a real important thing that's been going on in my life, the life of my family, the church, real life network that we have the honor to be involved in as well. Just so much dealing with the dynamic of what is true, and this podcast is inspired by many things in the area of truth and error and, believe it or not, one of those things has been the ability of the acquisition of, I'll say the acquisition of deception, or the acquisition of manipulation at your fingertips. And what I mean by that is I got an old pickup truck. I love it, but everybody calls it a piece of junk. Look, I guess it's part of an old man's DNA. I don't know what it's psychologically, what it means. Does it mean I'm trying to go back to my childhood? I have no idea. I don't think so. I just love the smell of gasoline and oil and real metal and it just smells great. And so I got this 1963 Ford F-100 pickup from some guy in a farm in New Mexico and so it needs love and it needs care and all this kind of stuff. But my grandson saw it and he got a picture of it and he fed it into an AI app and you can ask the AI app to do certain things with the image. So he puts the image in, and his request was to make it look like a die-cast toy. You know, a die-cast car. For those who don't know, that's a really big deal. In fact, our good friend Chip Foose has tons of die-cast cars that are out there. Some of them, by the way, sell for thousands of dollars. It's just, there's a niche, this interesting kind of thing. Be that as it may, ai, within three minutes, generated this perfect die-cast image where you could. I mean, it is perfect, it's clearly a toy, it's clearly my pickup truck, but you want to just pick it up and you want to play with it, but it's not real. And then he asked it to do the same picture, and he asked it to do a fuzzy which turns the pickup truck into basically like a stuffed animal, but it's a stuffed pickup truck and if you see it, it's so cool that you would print it out or you would make it I should say, make it and sell it at a toy store. It's perfect, but it's not real. But it's not real. 04:09 And so maybe you have seen now RFK with president Trump's cabinet and he's speaking to the press about, uh, the healthcare crisis, and he's talking about people being overweight and and all this kind of and it's not even him speaking. It's all fake. You can't even tell his lips are moving to the words, because AI will do that and what looks like to us, what looks like to our eyes, real time, and it's his voice, but it's not his voice and it's not his words. It's fake. So my question to you is if you watch a speech, if if, for example, gavin Newsom is going to call a press conference to apologize to all Californians as to how bad of a governor he is, um, you would know that that's fake, okay, but it would look like him, it would sound like him. You couldn't tell, and we're in that world. 05:03 Now that you must agree with me regarding technology, we don't know what's real or not. Listen, I may not be real right now with you. What if this is fake? How do you know? Well, in this world of technology, you don't know exactly. You're actually trusting that I'm actually here right now and that this is real. I assure you it's real. 05:31 But the point that I'm making is deception. Now is so, is so polished, it's so, can I put it this way? White collar. It's so white collar, like white collar crime. You know, it's beautiful suit and tie, high level, high class Crime. Well now, information. You don't know if it's true or not because of the overwhelming ability to deceive. So check this out. 06:00 As believers, are you ready to actually embrace a 2,000-year-old document that tells you about tomorrow? Can you handle that? Do you believe God's able to do that? Man's not able to do that. But how can we test what's being said in the world today, even if it's being said by artificial intelligence? This is cool. Listen. How can we know? The plumb line has never changed. The acid test has never changed. The word of God is able to cut into slice between the thoughts and the intentions, the motives of a human heart, and it is also because it is pure and perfect truth. It's also able to flush out the falsehood of artificial theology. Okay, so here we go. 07:03 Jesus said in Matthew, chapter 7, verse 15, beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing. Wow, that's deception, is it not? A false prophet's going to dress just like you, the believer, act just like you, talk just like you. But Jesus said but inwardly, they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Wow, that means open up your eyes and look at the life and lifestyles of these charlatans that you see on TV, who are telling you that you need to do certain things and notice all the certain things they're telling you to do. It has everything to do with them being at the epicenter of receiving from you what they're telling you to do. Mark that you will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? The answer is nope. Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Jesus said, therefore by their fruits you will know them. 08:27 So as we march through this very, very quickly, I'm going to read you a lot of scripture. Please be asking yourself is your spiritual relationship and your experience between you and God, is it for real? Between you and other believers? Is it for real? Okay, now it's getting more risky, right? If it's between you and God, there's probably a good chance that God is saying, yep, you and I are real. Or, hey, listen to what this nut is saying to you. He's telling truth, he's speaking truth. You and I need to work some things out. Buddy, God's talking to you about this stuff. 09:03 But here's where it gets harder. From epicenter out, the shock waves get a little bit more dampened, and it means this how do you know the friends that you have are actual Christian, biblically-based friends? How do you know? Because they said so. That's not good enough, because in time, what they say is going to be tested. So what do you do next? You do not confuse the fact that you know their name, you see their face and what they are proclaiming to be versus or up against what they actually are. You need to know them. Okay, this is very, very important. Why Jude 1, very important. Why Jude, chapter one, verse four? 09:49 For certain men have crept in unnoticed who long ago were marked out for this condemnation ungodly men who turned the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and Lord Jesus Christ. In other words, there's going to be those in the religious circles that are going to take the grace of God and they're going to destroy it by making it something to be a license for sin. God's grace is awesome and we would say amen. God's grace is great, yes, it is. God's grace gives us liberty and freedom. Yeah, you bet, watch. God's grace gives us the freedom, as Christians, to get drunk, be pastors who sit around and smoke cigars and have a bourbon and discuss theology. God's grace allows us to cheat on our husbands and our wives. God's grace is so amazing that we don't even have to go to church anymore. We have found a greater grace where we just sit together in our living room and we experience the presence of God and we forsake the assembling together of the saints. Watch out, watch out, people, because the Bible tells us that these come from men, no doubt men, men and women, spiritualists who creep in unnoticed, undetected. 11:13 Verse five Jude one. But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe and the angels who did not keep their proper domain but left their own abode, their own dwelling place. These are obviously angels that became fallen. He has reserved in everlasting chains unto darkness for the judgment of the great day, as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, in similar manner like these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh the word is unsanctioned or unapproved flesh are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Likewise also, these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority and speak evil of dignitaries. 12:10 Yet Michael that's Michael the archangel in contending with the devil when he disputed about the body of Moses. That's wild, isn't it? When Moses died, these two angels got in a fight over his body. God sent Michael to go get the body of Moses. Satan wanted Moses' body. You ever ask your question why? What would Satan do with Moses' dead body? Possess it, want to get creepy, freaky? What would Satan want with Moses' dead body, satan? Can you imagine Satan crawling inside of Moses' skin and, standing up, goes back down and starts to speak false doctrine to the children of Israel. 13:01 Wow, that's weird. And so Michael, when contending and disputing over the body of Moses, dared not bring a railing accusation against Satan, but said the Lord rebukes you. Notice that Michael didn't say I rebuke you, satan. Michael said the Lord rebukes you, satan. That's a good lesson for all of us. But these speak evil of whatever they do not know and whatever they know. Naturally, like brute beast in these things, they corrupt themselves. Woe to them. The Bible says the word woe in Greek is Hawaii. It sounds like Hawaii, that's how I remember it. It's Hawaii and it means damned to be you. Damned, wow. Condemned, condemned they are, for they have gone in the way of Cain. They have run greedily in the way of air like Balaam for profit and perished in the rebellion of Korah. Strong words, wow, powerful words for sure. 14:04 About deception. About deception 2 Peter 2, verse 1, but there were false prophets. But there are false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you. How do we know this? They will secretly bring in destructive heresies. Notice, everything that we're talking about regarding deception starts out unnoticeable, subtle. Now here's what's awesome for us we don't have to worry about that, because the Holy Spirit, if we walk in the light, as he is in the light. The bells and whistles are going to go off. The foghorn is going to start blaring in our hearts. Something's wrong with this guy, there's something wrong with that person. You keep that to yourself. You don't say anything to anybody else. You ponder that and you say, Lord, what's up with this person? They've got a funny vibe. I'm not clicking with what they're saying or how they're saying it. It's strange. Should I be going to this church? It's strange. Should I be going to this church? Am I pursuing something that is off? God, what's up? Speak to me, Lord. Well, he'll talk to you. All right, the Holy Spirit knows who will bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction, and many will follow their destructive ways. Wow. And bring on themselves swift destruction, and many will follow their destructive ways. Wow, many Because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed by covetousness. That's another thread Money, covetousness, profit gain. They will exploit you with deceptive words. For a long time now, their judgment has not been idle and their destruction does not slumber. Wow. That's why I wrote this Right here. That's why I asked the former director of the CIA, mike Pompeo, to write the foreword. The former director of the CIA, mike Pompeo, to write the Ford. This is important because we are living in the days of deception. 16:15 People listen. There's stuff on TV. There's stuff that you're hearing on radio If you're not paying attention. It's so subtle. I think I might have mentioned this in a couple of podcasts ago. I'm not sure, but I'm going to repeat it. 16:27 My wife and I were listening to an audio book and the audio book was presented by—I forget who it was, I'll find out and the audio book Devotion was Charles Spurgeon. And we're listening. We're listening Now. We've read Charles Spurgeon. We know Charles—I mean, we know he's been gone in heaven for like 150 years. But you know what I mean. We've read, we know what he believes and all of a sudden, lisa goes. Did you hear that? And I did you hear that? We both did you hear that? And in it Spurgeon had said but Spurgeon never said this the guy's going along, going along, and he says and so, by walking with Christ, realizing that we have been created in the image of God, we are gods also, we are deity also. Wham, bells and whistles, lights went off. Somebody somehow inserted an ancient doctrine that is found in Genesis where Satan said to Eve you can become a god. 17:46 Also, beware of cults that write up. Well, they used to write up to your door on 10 speeds. Then they started walking and now they just drive up in a Mercedes and they get out. They witness to you at the door and they're from a Latter-day Gospel cult and they tell you. They knock on your door and they say hi, we're Christians. We're in the area. And you say, oh, I'm a Christian. Oh, you're a Christian, we're Christians. Oh, great Christian Christian, hi, have a nice day. Oh, no, wait, wait, wait. We want to tell you more about our church. And they go on to tell you that you're actually not really a Christian. They're the Christian and you need to come to their church so that you are to become a real Christian. Because you're not a real Christian, because you need to listen to what Joseph Smith had to say about really being a Christian. And then you realize, hey, joe Smith, wait a minute. And then you realize, hey, joe Smith, wait a minute. 18:48 Latter-day Saints, I know who you guys are. You're the Mormons. Did you know that they don't announce Mormonism anymore at the door? They don't announce that they're Mormons. They say they're Christians. Friends, if they're Christians and you're a Christian and all is kosher, then why do you have to join their team to go to heaven? It's because they're not kosher and they're not Christian. 19:20 Deceptive, deceiving spirits. Here you go For the time, oh sorry, 2 Timothy 4, 3 through 5. For the time will come when they no wonder why it's called the Church of Latter-day Saints, no wonder why they have a Second Testament Interesting. The time will come. Because they won't endure sound doctrine but according to their own desires. Because they won't endure sound doctrine but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers. So add on. Add it on, and they will turn their ears away from the truth and be turned aside to fables. 20:06 Oh my gosh, I didn't intend on picking on the Mormon church. They're sweet people. I mean, if going to heaven means you got to be nice, they win. Mormons are way nicer than a lot of Christians. I know Mormons are great people. They're great people, and if you were a Mormon, you'd be a great person too. Because they believe that's how you get to heaven. Because they believe that's how you get to heaven by being nice. And if it was that easy, huh. But the truth is, we've all sinned to come short of the glory of God, but they've turned their ears away from the truth and instead they've turned themselves over to fables. 20:42 Have you ever read the birth account, the birthing account of the Mormon church with of Mormon in the golden tablets? That was special glasses provided by the angel. He could interpret them and then sorry, you can't question him about that there's not over 13,000 manuscripts, like there is, of the Bible for you to compare with one another. Nope, sorry, doesn't exist. 21:31 No archaeology of the claims of the natives of the tribes that lived in America that Joseph Smith talked about. Where's the archaeological evidence? Does Brigham Young University have a department of archaeology? Yes, they do, pretty cool. The only problem is they don't have any data. They don't have anything from the earth to back up their claims. Why? Because when God, who is the only truth speaker, is truth himself. Isn't it interesting that when you do archaeology, especially in the Middle East, you find out exactly what's written in the Bible is what you dig up? You find out exactly what's written in the Bible is what you dig up. Wow. Psalm 85 says truth shall spring forth out of the earth. That's archaeology, that's awesome, but some people love fables. 22:18 But you be watchful in all things and do afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry and then finally, and it's a whopper, but we'll end with this one, it's 2 Peter, chapter 3, verse 1, starting there. 2 Peter, chapter 1, sorry, 2 Peter, chapter 3, verse 1. Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle in both, because there's 1 Peter and there's 2 Peter epistle in both, because there's first Peter and there's second Peter. This is second Peter, three in both, which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets and of the commandment of us, the apostles and the Lord and savior Knowing this first. This is awesome that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lust. Here you go again, saying where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers have fallen asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation. When, where's God? Where's his coming? How come he's not here? You guys have been saying he's going to come back, but where is he? Everything just continues like creation since then. It's just going to keep going, give up hope about Jesus returning. 23:43 Verse five for this. They are willingly, willfully, ignorant and forget that, by the word of God, the heavens were of old and the earth standing out of water and in the water. That's Genesis 1, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water, but beloved. Do not forget this one thing that With the Lord, one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as one day. There's no need to do the math on that. That's a simple statement of meaning, that God's eternal. 24:30 You and I are not, for the Lord is not slack concerning his promises, as some men count slackness, but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But that all should come to repentance. The day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise and the elements will melt with fervent heat. The word elements is atoms, by the way. Atoms, the atom will melt with fervent heat. Both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. 25:07 Therefore, since all these things are going to be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in all holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God See, he is coming back, after all, folks because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat. Nevertheless, we, according to his promise, look for a new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. Be steadfast, therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, and be diligent to be found by him in peace, without spot and blameless, almost done, and consider that the long-suffering of our Lord is salvation, as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you. As also in which all of Paul's epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which some of the things are hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people wow, they're everywhere. Folks twist to their own destruction, as they did also the rest of the scriptures. You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your steadfastness, being led away with the air of the wicked, but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To him belongs glory, both now and forever. Amen. 26:36 Wow, here was a 25-minute reading of scripture that completely prepares you to detect, to discover, to find out. Who are you sitting under at your church on Sunday? What books are you reading? Better be careful. Who are you listening to? Watch out, watch out, watch out. Hey, how about this Warning? Bridge out ahead? Slow down, stop, put on your brakes and you drive along and you go. What was that? What was that guy saying? It was just some idiot waving his hands shouting about something I don't know. Bridge out ahead, I don't know, let's just keep going. 27:17 That kind of describes a lot of people every Sunday People, people, please. Jesus said my sheep hear my voice and a stranger? They will not follow. Make sure that you are following the voice of Almighty God in the Word of God. You'll never be led astray. Friends, listen, heaven has only one entrance. It's narrow, it's very, very sparsely populated. It's very, very sparsely populated, and broad is the way that leads to destruction and everybody's on it. 27:52 Watch yourself, be very careful. Make sure the Bible is the very bedrock of your decision making and your life living, because if it's feelings, if it's emotions, or if it's some some fanciful post or this really cool slick movie and you begin to form your theology based out of this guy's dreadlocks or the way this person wears their clothes or how they speak. You're in error. You are living in error. Take the Bible, judge it or use it as a judgment against all those who are feeding you spiritually, and that means me too. Acts 17, 11,. 28:33 Paul said I praise God for you guys. Everything I say and do, they're judging what I say against the scripture. They're more, more spiritually astute and you want to be a Berean in knowing the word of God. Listen until next time, you guys. God bless you so much.
