00:50 - Speaker 2
I know that it's a scary day it's October 31st, 2024. And yeah, for pagans. Did you know that? For pagans it's a scary day? So, paganism, october 31st. But for Christians, did you know that today is Reformation Day? Reformation, isn't it funny how life is right. It's so true for all of us. It depends on where you plant your attention. Ooh, it's Halloween spooky. And yeah, no, october 31st is the celebration, the reflection, the contemplation, the thanks for God, moving in the Reformation period with the Reformers, when he used people like John Huss and Wycliffe, and then onward, zwingli and Calvin and Luther, and awakened the church by the Word of God.
02:01
Now, all these men were flawed. All these men were just like you and I, except they were brilliant. But you know, listen, all of us have our spiritual blind spot. You have them, I have them, every human does, and that is, there's areas where we fail. We see things differently, maybe in a way that, in time, proves that we were wrong in this particular understanding, because we're flawed. So, yeah, you know what? All of the greats Knox right, andrew Bonar I mean you can go on and on Spurgeon and JC Ryle, all of these greats that we love reading. I like to look at it this way, you guys, when I'm preparing for a message, I like to think that, more than me reading these guys which, by the way, I don't read when I'm studying for Scripture, I get my messages together, my sermons together, first Just me and the Lord Bible and blank sheet of paper and a pen, and that usually takes a long time. And then I confirm my theology by reading the ancients. I don't read modern guys. If they're not dead, they're not read is the way I view it, and so I don't want to read anybody. Who's going to change their mind later? But Reformation Day, but today's October 31st, and I'm going to be talking about something pretty spooky, and I'm going to be talking about the spookiness of the stupidity of the church I don't know if that should be our title or not or the spookiness of the suicide of an influencer. The suicide of the influencer would be the Christian at a time like this.
03:54
We are coming up on the vote. This is unlike any other vote. You should know that right now, even if you hate me. But you somehow tuned in, because a lot of weird people tune in to my podcast just to say or to write mean and ugly stuff. And that's fine because I actually outgrew all that stuff and it's okay with me.
04:16
But we're coming up on an election here in a few days and the Christian is arguing I'm not voting. I'm not voting. I actually don't fall for that. I actually hear this when you say it to me. I'm not voting, pastor, here's what I, when you say that, this is how it lands in my ears. I'm lazy, I'm disengaged, my witness is worthless, my light's gone out, my salt is dead. I'm too much of a Pharisee to vote.
04:51
I would never get involved in this. Man, I'm so grateful you were not around in the days of George Washington or, for that matter, william Bradford in the Pilgrims, because you would have been dead weight man. You would have been well. You would have committed suicide of being an influencer. You could have influenced someone for what's good, and you chose not to do that. Listen if you're still with me now. For what's good, and you chose not to do that. Listen if you're still with me now.
05:28
After that little exhortation, I want to bring some more light, as we're right down to the line. Okay, we're right down to the line. So I wrote some notes out here, which I don't usually do all this much, but I want you to write these down. Or if you're driving right now, if you're flying right now, you won't get a chance maybe to write them down, but you can review this later, please and share it with others, please, please, please. So we are coming up on the election and on October 20th 2024, not all that long ago, about 11 days ago I delivered a message that was titled I forgot the title when Christians Fail to Vote, something like that when Christians Fail to Vote.
06:15
It doesn't matter, it's going to be available in the link. You can get it at the link in the description that's popping up or that will show up for you. I made some statements that are not only factually true for our founding fathers, because I quoted them in mass, but it's also true biblically, and tons of people loved it, tons of people hated it. All of them claimed to be Christians. So what's the deal? What's the deal to be Christians? So what's the deal? What's the deal?
06:49
So, first of all, it was heavily based upon Matthew, chapter 25. Even though I didn't physically read that, matthew chapter 25 begins like this for the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country. Jesus is speaking of himself, by the way who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. Imagine him giving you what are the goods that Jesus gave you. By the way, forget salvation. That's already implied, has nothing to do with salvation. He's going away. He gave you some goods. You need to ask yourself what are the goods that you have from Jesus? And so into one he gave five talents. To another he gave two and to another he gave one, to each according to his own ability, and immediately he went on his journey. That's awesome. The guy that has one.
07:46
He shouldn't be looking at the guy that has five or the guy that has three. How come I don't have three? How come I don't have five? Because you're going to find out that the knucklehead that had one couldn't even do anything with his one. There's a lot of people like that today. They have one moment, one moment given to them by God to possibly influence America, the church and the world for good, and maybe even save a baby's life, and they won't take it. So why would they get three from God? Or why would they get five from God when they can't even do the one that they have? Keep that in mind, and so, likewise he who had two gained. Oh, so while he was away they invested. So when they received the talents, they traded with others and they multiplied them. So the three guy made three more, and the five, he made more. And on it goes, I should say the two and the five, he made more, and on it goes, I should say the two, not the three.
08:52
And the point is the guy that has one. He's actually the epicenter of the entire parable, but each of the guys who had what they had, invested what they had. They took their talent which, by the way, a talent we get bogged down. A talent is. Our pendulum swings to both sides and we miss it completely. A talent is not how good you can play your violin, and the talent is not. It's not some stack of gold, it's not some stack of gold weighing a certain amount. No, look at it this way A talent, a talent, three or five is the opportunity. A talent would be an opportunity To one man. He gave one opportunity. To another man, he gave two opportunities or three opportunities To another man. He gave one opportunity to another man. He gave two opportunities or three opportunities to another man. He gave five, he gave them.
09:48
Whatever you have, whatever I have, god gave it to you, God gave it to me, and what influence you and I have is different for a reason. What are you doing with your influence? Because you do have one, no matter who you might be. You might be, you know, at the bottom of Antarctica right now, with three scientists researching and you're watching this right now Guess who you can influence? The two people that you know, not to mention those that are in your social media world. And so I'm going to paraphrase this.
10:18
So Jesus goes away, he comes back and at the time he returns, he says all right, everybody line up, give an account. It's time to show me what you did with the goods that I gave you. All right, you, who I gave five. How'd it go? I took the five you gave me, invested it, made a big influence, got five more. Jesus says well done thou, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of the Lord. All right. Next guy yes sir, you gave me two and I took the two and I doubled it and I got four. Well done thou, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of the Lord. All right, you. I gave you one. Let's see what you did with one.
11:03
Oh well, lord, I knew that you were stern and that you demand a harvest where you've not planted and results where you have not set up that opportunity. I know that you're tough and that you're hard, and so, rather than do anything, I buried it under the ground. So I buried my talent, I buried my opportunity. Let's get. Let's get to the crux. I buried my vote by not voting at all, because I knew you're tough, because you're going to judge me and you're holy and you gather where you've not sown and you take in that which you've not harvested, and so you don't mess around. And so I just buried it. So it's like this. So I buried it. So here it is. And Jesus said that. That master, he's speaking of himself now to you and me.
12:15
Jesus says to the guy that buried his vote you should have at least put it in the bank while I was away, so it would collect interest at least. You, wicked servant, you Depart from me into outer darkness. You unprofitable servant, you ruined it. That guy got in unbelievable trouble. That guy got in unbelievable trouble. So are you saying, pastor Jack, that if I don't vote, that I'm in trouble with God?
12:55
Let me put it to you this way If some beast was raping a 15-year-old girl on the street corner of Fifth and Main and you drive by and you pull over and you start video recording it and saying how terrible this is, did you know that when they do the investigation, you're going to be held liable to some degree? Listen, I don't know where you live, but the county that I live in that issues concealed weapons permits. We were all told that if you come upon a crime that is a crime of life and death and rape was the actual topic, by the way, rape the county said if you do not, with this concealed weapons permit, with this concealed weapons permit, eliminate the danger, the evil that is taking place, the county will hold you responsible for not getting involved to save that girl's life. Wow, wow. So listen, do you think the Christian has the right, the opportunity, the authority to sit out voting when Kamala Harris and the Democrat Party are not only demonized? You say how could you say that so easy At the National Convention for the Democrat Party, true or false? Did they have trucks, medical unit trucks, out at the parking lot of the DNC performing abortions during the DNC, dnc, oh my gosh, dnc, democrat National Convention slash. They were offering free abortions during that week at the event. True or false? Go find out.
14:41
Demonic party Demonic Demonic, sick Freaks. How do you stop sick freaks and demonics? Well, in this particular world we live in, here in America, you vote them out. I mean, some of us have other feelings about that, but I don't obey my feelings and they should be very glad about that, because in other countries, like Saudi Arabia or Iran or Jordan or Yemen or Ethiopia or parts of Sudan, they would kill you on the spot. We don't do that in America. We vote them out and in that is doing righteousness.
15:24
And if you fail, if you ignore to do that when given the opportunity, you're no different than that servant of the Lord who had the opportunity to do something and didn't do it. Ezekiel, chapter 33, verse six, tells us that if the watchmen, pastors, do not blow the trumpet of warning to what's going on in your culture by an invading army that's coming or by danger that is coming, god says I'm going to hold that watchman, that pastor responsible for what happens in his own community. There's going to be a whole lot of splaining going on and God's not going to listen to a word of any man's excuses and God's not going to listen to a word of any man's excuses. Every pastor should be risking his life at this time to promote pro-life. That's the least that we can do.
16:13
The book of James jot it down, please. James 4.17 says to those of you who are saying I'm not going to vote because I'm a Christian, I'm not going to vote because I'm holy, james 4, 17 says if you know to do good and you do not do it, to you it is sin, or upon you it is sin. James 4, 17. So this is what's very, very important. What we're talking about here is to not to do good, to not to do good. If you choose not to do good, it's not only sin.
16:57
But I love what Edmund Burke said to Parliament in England during the Revolutionary Period. That's the American Revolutionary Period. All that evil needs to do to triumph is for good men to do nothing, and that's many of you. That's many of you who choose to do nothing. Look, I'm not trying to get your vote for the pro-life movement. I'm trying to save you in the day of judgment. When I say save, I'm not saying your salvation is on the line. I'm saying that, according to 1 Corinthians, 2, 3, and 4,. You and I are going to be judged by the Lord, jesus Christ. Did you know that? And we better be careful about what we do with the opportunity he gives us. So let me run down a few things. That message, by the way, I'm grateful, excuse me, I'm grateful.
17:56
October 20th 2024, it popped up in quite a few digital media platforms as a headline. Southern California pastor. This says this about the election Pastor calls out churches or blah, blah, blah. Whatever it is it was. It turned out to be very controversial. Why? So because of thinking like this, and I wrote some of these down, and, by the way, will you please write this down Ezekiel 3, verses 16 to 19. I just read Ezekiel 33, 6, verses 16 to 19. I just read Ezekiel 33, 6, but read Isaiah, chapter 62 as well, and so real quick, because we're limited here on time.
18:52
If you have the opportunity to influence others to do good instead of evil, should you take it. See, right now, as soon as I say that you're starting to squirm because you're concocting your excuse, I'm going to say it again so that you can try to cope with your moral challenge. Right now, if you have the opportunity to influence someone to do good instead of evil. Would you do that? I got news for you. If you don't do that, you're sinning.
19:33
Bible makes it clear. What about somebody who says well, pastor, I'm not going to vote because the candidate is not holy. They don't represent all my views and all of even biblical views. They only represent some, not all, so I can't vote for them. Isn't it amazing that Jesus said whatever judgment you hand out to people, that same judgment will be placed upon you. So I can only conclude that if you're so holy and your vote is so holy that you can't give it to any candidate running for any office in this nation, in this state, in this county, in the city that you live in, I cannot think of a more gruesome, disgusting manifestation of a Pharisee than that. That is so damnable pharisaical conduct. Didn't Jesus address this in the four gospels?
20:57
Mom and dad, I wish I could help you, jesus said. One man says mom and dad, I wish I could help you, jesus said. One man says mom and dad, I wish I could help you. I know you're starving to death, but my offering I have to go dedicate it to God Wish I could help. Jesus says that person's a wretch Isn't that amazing? But I'm doing it for God. Jesus said God doesn't need it, you should feed your mom and dad, or whatever the situation is, but in that case Jesus used the mother and the father or, as he expounded upon it, the temple. This has been dedicated to the temple, so I can't give it to you. Think about you right now.
21:38
Now, I know, look, some of you are saying, like man, who are you harping on? Right now? I am harping on the people who, for one reason, if they're truly Christians, we're going to be revealed, if we're truly Christians, by our conduct. Okay, and so this is very, very important. So you can't vote because your vote's too holy. So I'm assuming I don't know if I can trust you when I ask this question are you registered to vote? If you're not registered to vote, then I don't need to hear from you. If you're not registered to vote, then I don't need to hear from you. If you're not registered to vote and you're over 18, what's the purpose? What do you? I mean, that's bizarre to me. It's a powerful form of influence and you choose not to do it, so you don't even register to vote. That's bizarre to me. Anyway, the only thing worse than that is if you are registered to vote. So if you register to vote but you're not going to vote, for example, for Trump because he can be a real stinker but he's really great about borders, which I'm not a prophet but probably soon after this podcast, after the election, you're going to probably after the election, you're going to probably between Election Day and the day of the inaugural, when there's a new president, you're going to probably wish you had voted for somebody that stood for borders. You know, kamala Harris doesn't stand for our borders at all.
23:39
The single one, the single number one authority, even over Mayorkas, is Kamala Harris for four years regarding our borders boss. Who's responsible for this? Isn't it crazy that in your own office where you work, somebody's responsible to make sure that the copier machines are all filled up with toner? Someone? What's your? Do you remember growing up, when you were a little kid those of those of you who are my age and we had milk monitors and window monitors Remember how we loved that we would open the window. It was such an honor. In our name we got picked this week. Every day we got to do our milk monitors. What does that mean? Someone's your name. Who's on the board, jack? He's the milk monitor. This week Everybody got their milk at their desk because I would go up and down the aisle and hand out the milk, or you did too. Someone was responsible. It was their task. It's what they were supposed to be faithful to do. It's what they were hired for.
24:49
Kamala Harris, as vice president, was given by Joe Biden the sole responsibility to secure America's borders. Frankly, she should be tried for treason on that ground alone period. But you're not going to vote. And if you don't vote to oppose, it's kind of like playing Battleship. You ever play that game, battleship, or some other games like chess or maybe even checkers, where you block, you can block. You can block bad from happening by positioning yourself. You can block evil from happening by voting for Trump.
25:32
I'm not asking you to marry the guy. He's already married. I'm not asking you to take him home to dinner. I'm asking you to use him as a tool to block evil, because you know what Less babies will die under Trump. And then here's the thing that Christians Christians, listen. Thank God. We're saved by the grace of God, because a lot of Christians are so dumb they just can't think. But you know what? If they trusted Christ to die for their sins and rose again from the dead, they actually are born again. They're going to go to heaven, no matter how dumb they are and thank God for his grace, praise the Lord. But so dumb that they can't figure this out. I can't vote because I don't like Trump. Trump never asked you to like him.
26:22
Voting in America is not about who you like, it's who's best for the country, not you, not me. Who's best for the country? Borders, economy. Come on, kick and scream all you want If there's any Dems watching right now. You guys think you have an argument. It's so hilariously, pathetically funny. We can see right through.
26:45
When you guys say that Trump screwed up the economy, he ruined it. You're lying. Is that called gas lamp lighting, gas lighting, flame torching? I don't know what it's called, but isn't it that the thing where you blame? You accuse somebody of what you're doing. You accuse that of them.
27:03
The Democrats cannot handle an economy of any type. How do you? How do you know? Because I, I was born and raised in California. That's how I know. California will suck every penny out of your wallet and put you into a slave camp if Newsom had his way and, by the way, that's been the case for decades in California. Taxes, taxes, taxes, taxes to death, and you would think that all the taxes that California takes in that it would be the richest state in the nation. We are not. We're broke, we're bankrupt. Democrats cannot save money. They can't do it. It's not in them. You know why? Because it's a discipline, and the worst thing in the world is third-party spending. Third-party spending is someone who spends money they did not earn on stuff that they don't have to answer for. That's called a politician.
28:10
But everybody listen up. You're not going to vote for Trump, so you're going to allow more babies to be killed. That's on you, it's not on me. My hands are free and clear of the death of the unborn because every chance I get, all the time I speak up in their defense. My hands are clean. But you're going to say, to make yourself feel a certain way, I'm going to sacrifice children. I'm a Christian, but I'm going to sacrifice myself. I mean, I'm going to sacrifice babies for myself so I can feel better. So when people ask me did you vote for Trump? No, oh, don't you feel great, don't you feel amazing? Enjoy it while you can, because when God says when I gave you the chance, the talent, the opportunity to block the killing of the unborn, did you take it? And you're going to say no, and Jesus is going to say you did wickedly. You knew what I wanted and you did what you felt.
29:17
There are those who might say well, you know, voting in America, we should trust in the sovereignty of God, because voting in America, it's like we're voting for a king, and Israel got in trouble for picking a king King Saul, what? How do you equate a constitutional republic with Israel's monarchy? Oh, they got in trouble for picking Saul. No, no, no, no, no. They did not get in trouble for picking Saul as king. That's not going to fly. They got in trouble because they rejected God. Israel did not get in trouble for picking Saul. They got in trouble for not picking God, for not obeying God. They threw their opportunity to serve God and to have God as their king of king and lord of lords. They rejected him and so they picked up on King Saul.
30:24
So don't say that you can't vote because it's like picking a king. That's insane. What you want to make sure is that you learn from that. 1 Samuel I think it's chapters 7 and 8 of 1 Samuel. Chapters 7 and 8 of 1 Samuel. What you want to be careful that you don't do is that you don't reject God and the opportunity he gave you by not voting, because we live in a republic, not a monarchy. So that kind of thinking see, this is what I mean about Christians being dumb. What kind of logic is that? If we lived in a monarchy, we might have something to talk about, but even then, what preempts the monarchy selection is that we would have walked away from God. That's the issue and that's what you're doing.
31:15
If you say I'm not going to vote, I'm not going to vote for mayor, I'm not going to vote for president, I'm not going to vote for Congress because they're all corrupt. My vote is so holy I can't give it away to corruption. So, getting back to the registered voter part, the participant in this democracy that is a constitutional republic which trumps democracy your ability to vote, you don't do anything with it. You don't do it. So you're actually, you're dead weight. If you don't get involved, you don't help anybody. You're really not. Yes, I give food to the homeless. There's a lot more opportunities that you and I can have to do good. If we don't do it, we're sinning. So you would say, yeah, well, I can't give my vote to Trump, so you've never voted before. Oh, yes, I voted in previous elections.
32:15
I thought you just said your vote was holy and you can't give it to people who are, you know, not perfect, not right, not what, not able to walk on water. You voted for people in the past, but you're not going to vote for a pro-life presidency now. That's weird, isn't it? It's funny. You clearly didn't see that your vote wasn't so holy and wasn't so tainted when you voted before. How could you give the other guys a vote? I voted for Ronald Reagan. How dare I, boy? The biggest mistake I ever made in my life was voting for George Bush. Both of them Total globalists Total. You know what they were, both of them. They still are, by the way. Well, they're Democrats with the fake R behind their names. Look at Bush's policies. They're all Democrat policies. You don't like what I'm saying? Show me, by the policies of George H and George W, how they were Republicans.
33:34
Tell you what I'm so committed to honoring the dead in memorial who fought so that I could vote that in California. We rarely ever have a good choice. In California it's so hard and I don't miss one vote to honor the dead to those who sacrificed for my opportunity to vote. If I don't vote, I'm insulting them. If I don't go vote, I'm saying their lives, their sacrifice on the battlefield meant nothing to me In California.
34:08
You know what we have to do here in California. You know what we have to do here in California. We have to vote for the least worst Democrat, because in California we have what's called a jungle primary, which means there could be in November a Republican versus a Democrat, or an independent versus a Republican, or a Democrat versus Democrat, or a Republican versus a Republican, or an independent versus an independent. It's the two top vote getters. Move on from June in the primary to the election in November. It's in California, it's called a jungle primary and most often we have to pick between two Democrats. Doesn't that stink? But it's the People's Republic of California.
35:04
So, pastor Jack, what do you do? Oh, it's easy. I've been doing it for years here in California, and that is, if Democrat A believes that babies should be murdered at birth and Democrat B believes that the abortion is okay up until the, the second trimester, which is still murder, it's still hell on earth, it's still an abomination to God. If that's my only choices, I'm taking my vote and I'm voting for the less of the evil. Yes, you heard me say it. Voting for the lesser of two evils flies with God versus you burying your vote in the ground, because I picked the guy that less babies would die to block the Democrat to get into office that would kill babies even after they're born, which, by the way, you're being lied to right now. I just saw it today again Lied, lied, lied. Lied to your face and it is a fact.
36:20
You can get it, probably at the Barna poll or the Arizona State, george Barna. They did a poll, kelly Shackelford in. Is it First America, you guys, or America First, america First Legal? I think it is. They paid for a poll to be done. Kamala Harris said in quotes babies can die, be killed up till birth, as they're coming out. Kamala Harris, you listen, you don't vote and you let her get an office. I'm clean, You're not, because you sat it out and then we've got to wrap this up. I got four minutes and 40 seconds left.
37:04
Um, don't view your vote as being so holy that you can't get involved, please. That is a manifestation of a Pharisee type of thinking that does murderous things to people. And we're not choosing a king. We're choosing a president and a senator and a mayor. That comes closest to representing the biblical worldview. Let's see if I'm missing something before we wrap this up To him. Who does not do good to him, it is sin. So you don't want to sit it out. Jesus is going to judge you and me on what we did with the opportunities that we have, including voting, including voting. Maybe that's up near the top because it's such a big deal. In this republic, we're not choosing a king. That's ridiculous to think like that.
38:05
God is sovereign, so I'm not going to vote, which is really, again, christian stupidity, christian biblical ignorance. Because if God is sovereign so you're not going to vote, then what do you do when you're hungry? Christian? I'm so hungry. If you came to me and said God is sovereign, I don't get involved. Oh man, I'm starving. Can you take me out to lunch? No way, because God is sovereign, I don't get involved. Oh man, I'm starving. Can you take me out to lunch? No way, because God's sovereign, god's sovereign. Look, sorry, friend, I'm going to go to lunch because I understand God's sovereignty. You believe in God's sovereignty, but you don't think you should get involved. Here's what I recommend Go outside, tilt your head back, open your mouth and, if God is sovereign, wait for him to send an eagle to fly over your face and drop In-N-Out burger Coke and fries into your mouth. That's what you mean when you say God is sovereign. So I'm not going to vote.
39:07
No, listen, god is sovereign and in his sovereignty he gave you and I the opportunity to invest our talents, our vote. So don't hide behind God's sovereignty. God's sovereignty says get involved and make a difference. If you don't, you are not acknowledging my sovereignty. Wow, you viewed it all wrong. You flipped it around. God is sovereign. In his sovereignty, he calls me to get involved, to do righteousness. God's sovereignty says in 2 Corinthians 10, verse 6, christians punish disobedience. He's sovereign. God's sovereign, but he told Boaz to go plant his vineyard. God's sovereign, but he told Gideon to get ready for war.

If God is sovereign and he is the way that you view it is why don't we go to war? No, no, we won't even go to war. I was going to say why don't we go to war in our underwear instead of wearing battle gear? Because God's sovereign, after all, god's sovereign. No, you wouldn't even go to war. In fact, you wouldn't even put on underwear, because God's sovereign, after all, god's sovereign. No, you wouldn't even go to war. In fact, you wouldn't even put on underwear, because God's sovereign. That's the way that you. That's actually how you live. I'm not voting. God is sovereign. No, you don't understand God's sovereignty.

You're lazy, you're missing an opportunity to glorify Christ and to honor the dead, and so you sit out the vote. Friends, don't do that. Don't do it. Vote, get involved, make a difference. So maybe this podcast should be titled the Death of an Influencer, because that would be you. If you're not voting, you are not allowing your opportunity, your light to shine in the dark and your influence you've murdered. It's the suicide of an influencer. Please, don't let that happen to you. Get smart, get quick, get registered to vote. You can go, do it now. Did you know that on voting day, you can register to vote and then walk two feet over and vote? Did you know that? There's no excuse? My hands are clean, I'm good.

Listen, as always, we believe here that it's time for us, obviously it's time for us to live out what we believe in. It's time for us. Obviously it's time for us to live out what we believe in. It's time for real life. This has been an hour of discipleship. That's what it's been. We believe it's time to live out what we believe in. It's time for real life. Out what we believe in. It's time for real life. So listen, if this blesses you, share, send it out to others, email the link to friends, post it, whatever you need to do, but by all means, please get out there and vote, pray and then, no matter what, whoever gets elected, you better be prepared. In Jesus' name, god's on his throne. We worship him alone, amen.
