00:00 - Speaker 1 Real Life presents the Jack Hibbs Podcast with intention and boldness to proclaim truth, equip the saints and impact our culture. 00:09 - Speaker 2 Hey, what's going on in the world around us? I'm going to try to offer up a little bit of an insight. What are we doing? Who are we raising? How are we going to ensure the next generation to think right and to not be infiltrated by the onslaught of an agenda? 00:35 - Speaker 1 Let's see what God's Word has to say to these things. If this podcast lifts you up and encourages you to live a more fulfilled life in Christ, then make sure you leave us one of those five-star ratings. To us that's like saying amen or yes. Then that rating will encourage others to listen. Now open your hearts to what God's Word has to say to you. Here is Jack Hibbs. 01:01 - Speaker 2 Hey everybody, welcome to the Jack Hibbs podcast, Jack Hibbs Show. Thanks for being with us. And very, very important times, obviously, in which we live in Remarkable times, times that are forcing all people, everyone around the world, to consider their life, their lifestyle, their life's end, what's valuable, what's important. And the lines are being drawn, and I don't mean the proverbial statement the lines are being drawn, the lines are actually being drawn and the world is being exposed. We don't have the time today to discuss things that are forthcoming. I'm going to be putting together some podcasts here pretty soon where I'll be reacting to some of these things that are going on and we'll look at what God's word says to these things. What does wisdom and logic say to these things? But for today, for now, I would like you to consider a few things that I want to put out before you, and it goes to what I said a moment ago what's going on in the world? You have to stop and admit for a moment, almost by itemizing some things Is the world getting safer or not? Is there an intensity among nations and their leaders, for good or for war? The general population and let's just pick on America, where this podcast is originating from the general population the atmosphere or the optics of what's going on in the United States of America. Is it good or is it bad? Think about that. Is it trending toward hope or despair? Is America getting safer to walk around or not? Is what is called the church in America? Is it effective and powerful or ineffective and irrelevant? You and I could go on almost all day long bringing up topics that deal with our daily realities, and you would have to really stop and pause to consider what a friend of mine just told me the other day and he said you know, in light of what's going on in America, when the context of our conversation was how can, how can, an American president be kept out of an American city when the American city has become the most dangerous place by death rate in all of the industrialized nations combined. What am I talking about? The danger of walking down a street in Chicago. Trump's trying to put an end to that stuff, but because the government of Chicago will not and the state of Illinois will not do anything about protecting their citizens, trump has gone into DC and it's been great. Trump is going into. You know what I mean by Trump, right? I don't mean Trump is, but the Department of Justice, the Department of Homeland Security or the National Guard, because the police officers are not being given permission by the Democrat governors or mayors, and so these cities have become death traps. 05:02 By the way, everything a Democrat touches just name it, go down the list Everything a Democrat touches turns to death in one way or another. I know it's a harsh statement. Tough, it's true. They touch it, they kill it. They touch freedom, they kill it. They touch the economy, they kill it. They touch parental rights, they kill it. They touch infrastructure and they kill it. It's remarkable how incredibly competent they are at destroying things. The party of death and, by the way, don't think I'm a Republican Half of those guys are nut jobs also, so there's enough to go around. 05:45 But what I want you to consider in Matthew chapter 24, verse 12, Jesus is speaking. Friends, listen theologically. Matthew chapter 24 deals with Israel in the last days of the tribulation period, Israel of the last days in the tribulation period, Matthew chapter 24. There is nothing in Matthew chapter 24 that has to deal with the church. Zero, nothing At all. That said, in Matthew 24, 12, Jesus says because lawlessness will abound. There's going to be coming a time when lawlessness, the rule of law will evaporate and people will do lawless deeds and lawless things, so much abounding. Because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold, and the word means the populace, the people, the masses, will have callous hearts that will no longer care or love for fellow man. Ask yourself do we live in that time? We're not even in the tribulation period yet and we're starting to see the opening throes of a culture. 06:57 Now you might say in the country that you're in, oh man, you don't know. It's been like that in Sudan forever. I understand that and you can name your country. But when you look at the bastion of global right, the global bastion of Christianity, it would be America. But, man, you can't say that anymore. The effect of Christianity, biblical Christianity I'm not talking about hoo-rah-rah, I'm talking about real Christians living the real Christian life in America. There's very few people and the proof is you're starting to see a culture and a nation come apart at the seams. 07:43 I can hear you say to me right now but don't you know Trump's president? Don't you know that Kash Patel's FBI? Don't you know that Pete Hexeth is Department of War and Mark Rubio is Secretary? I know all that stuff. I know all that stuff. But listen, as much as they're trying to stop the evil, it's too late. By all means, keep fighting evil. We have to fight evil, period. 08:08 But this has been a long time coming because the powers that be have been at work a long time corrupting this culture, silencing the church, telling the believers to shut up and letting evil happen, open borders, undocumented people who turn out to be connected with terrorist gangs around the world, and or Islamicists who have come to commit jihad. Not too long ago in San Diego, a colonel in the Iranian army was arrested with six women in his apartment, his harem, and he was here for nefarious reasons against the United States government. These kinds of things that are going on. I'm going to be bringing something to you in more detail later on, but just breaking news a day or two ago was a guy who had an employee at a hotel, had an argument with his manager and wound up cutting his head off and kicking his head around the parking lot. Where did that happen? In Gaza? No, in the United States. What's going on? What's going on? 09:23 Here's what I think is what's going on. We live in a culture right now that has been detached from reality, because we have sown to the wind, as Isaiah said, and now it's time to reap the whirlwind. This is what's going on. Evil is advancing, people's hearts have grown cold cold, and I think one of the forensic announcements of this being a fact is what I'm calling right now, for argument's sake, the synthetic effect. The synthetic effect is when I view the world around me through the lens of my camera and how I can be in the moment. I can be actually witnessing the event around me, but not what do I mean? Now I'm going to date myself and that's okay, I'm fine with that. 10:18 Go way back when the VHS cameras were invented. They're like this big, and then they got smaller and they had the mini cam, and then they had the handy cam and they got smaller and smaller until eventually they made it cell phones with cameras and you've got what you got today, but it doesn't matter the effect. The synthetic effect is still the same, and that is you can be on vacation and if you're taking a video of your vacation, you know what I'm going to. You know already. 10:47 I'm about to say there is a mental disconnect where you spend two weeks, if you are two weeks in Fiji or in the Alps or in Maui, and you record your vacation through the camera and then listen. You get home and even though you can review the camera and you watch it, you actually did not experience vacation. There's a detachment, it's something about the mind, the brain and how it works. You could be in paradise or you could be standing in front of the World Trade Center on September 11th or Charlie Kirk's assassination. If you're viewing things through the synthetic effect of your lens, of your camera, there is a detachment there that you can never fix. It doesn't matter how many times you view the video that you can never fix. It doesn't matter how many times you view the video even though you were there. You viewed it through some process of your mind, your eyes, your brain, and there's this disconnect where it's real but it doesn't feel very real. I know I was there, but I only know it through the lens of this synthetic effect. 12:06 And the greatest manifestation of men's hearts growing cold because of lawlessness is what we're seeing right now, where people, even with the Charlie Kirk assassination, but even a day or two before that, the Ukrainian woman who was horribly stabbed to death in the neck there were people on their phones in that public transportation vehicle, who never got involved, didn't get involved, turned away from the murder. They just, they just turned away. They had, they had an impossible coping mechanism, failure. They couldn't deal with it. Now, if they would have brought their camera fully around, they probably could have watched that woman be murdered if they looked at it through the lens of their phone. In this case, they just turned away. 12:53 There's a great danger with our children today, for example, who we see, them all, do we not all see this? And it is a scourge, it's a ticking time bomb and when it goes off we ain't seen nothing yet. And it is this. How many times do we see now parents going to a restaurant McDonald's even and they get the kid a Happy Meal and they set the Happy Meal down in front of the kid and then they turn, they pick up their, their iPad or their, their own laptop or their tablet device and they put on some cartoon and the kid is eating, fixated on the synthetic screen. And this kid is not engaging, he's not learning to be a human there. There's no interaction. But the parent doesn't care because there's some sort of pseudo peace, quiet. The kid is preoccupied. He's eating his happy meal. Hey, I just need a break. This is better than nothing. No, no, listen, we're going to pay a big price for this in the future, because this kid is beginning to be trained if he's's not already trained already to think that this is where you view life. You view life through this lens, and so what's interesting is we have this culture today that we want to see it. I want to see that. Where did you see that? Is it on instagram or is it on x? Where'd you get? Is it tiktok? Or where did you see that? I want to see it. And then we see it and it actually, it actually fuels the hardening of the heart. So in recent days, we've seen all over the United States. As far as I know, it's not going on anywhere else in the world. It could be, but I don't see it when. 14:38 College university children yes, I said that correctly College university. I'm not going to degradate the word adult, I'm not going to call them adults. They're college university children who are now on campus imitating Charlie Kirk getting shot. They're acting like they got shot and they're falling over off their chair. People are laughing. Carrying on. How is that possible? Carrying on? How is that possible? Because I believe that they have so viewed and prepared their heart and soul in advance by viewing games or violence or AI type stuff, to the point where, when reality does happen to them, it is as serious, or the lack thereof, of watching a game on their synthetic screen. And so what happens is that they become so dull that they even turn around to mock Folks listen, I say this with great seriousness and great sadness. 15:55 People who cannot differentiate between reality and non-reality, please hear me out when they begin to not only they're it and process it as a non-reality event. They want to see it, but they refuse to get involved in whatever it is. They want to see it but they won't get involved. Want to see it but they won't get involved. We are watching right now the unfolding of a psychological psychology lab in our culture whereby we can study what's happening. Young people today cannot tell their emotions, cannot tell what is reality and what is non-reality. Hear me out, this is going to sound crazy. Check this out, though. They have gotten so calloused that A it's either nothing is a reality, there is no reality, or they've gotten so calloused that all things are the reality, meaning their reality is of like a dual nature. It is a multi-reality. It's a reality that they've been convinced is a reality, but in reality they've checked out. It's the. 17:41 I want to see the video footage, but I refuse to do anything about it. I won't even speak against it, in fact I'm going to make fun of it. And when you live like that, you actually create a reality that is false. It is your reality, but it's because you've gone insane, you've gone nuts, you have so detached that you can video somebody being stabbed to death and you're okay with it. That, friend, from a theological point, is what is called reprobate, reprobate. 18:17 The Bible says that in the last days there will be those who will be murderers of mothers, murderers of fathers, debased, ungodly, unloving, uncaring, unforgiving, violent, brutal traitors. It says, in the last days, doodle traders. It says, in the last days you want to talk about relevant. The Bible is so relevant. The Bible is waiting for tomorrow's headlines, because the Bible already knows this and reveals this that America right now is in a very critical, critical condition. And I'll prove it to you right now. Imagine, imagine if I went on right now with this microphone and I was on. You name the network and I said it's very violent out there, everybody would go yep, sure is Something needs to be done. Uh-huh, something needs to be done. Sure is Something needs to be done. Uh-huh, something needs to be done. That's right, something needs to be done. We need to take action. Yeah, take action, we need to do this. 19:30 We know culturally that whenever Jesus Christ is preached to the masses, historically it results in what's called revivals and awakenings. People begin to think again, people's hearts begin to get soft again, people begin to reconsider. You know, if I said that right now, people who previously were agreeing with me until I got to the fifth point. And the fifth point is let's take the next 30 days to preach Jesus Christ, the gospel of God. Let's post the Ten Commandments up all over America. Give us 30 days to preach Christ. Watch what happens. No, you cannot do it, you can't do that. No, no, no, wrong, no, no, no. And people will foam at the mouth, they'll go crazy. Because I mentioned Jesus, because I mentioned the word of God, because I mentioned the 10 commandments, what does that tell you? It tells you exactly what I'm talking about. 20:31 There is a detachment from reality that, when truth is interjected, their reality that they've created is so false synthetic they've created is so false synthetic that they cannot even begin to allow to entertain the cure, because they have now been taken over by a debased mind, which means frankly, biblically, that Satan is governing their minds. Now they're reprobate, they're debased, they're lost. The Bible says they are the sons of disobedience. They're lost. The Bible says they are the sons of disobedience. And Peter says they are like brute beasts that need to be hunted down and taken away. Peter said that Wow. 21:12 And so here we are. We're living in a time, right now, that is so deadpan serious. How's it going to play out? And this is what I do not know. I don't know how it's going to play out because you look at AI deception. Now, artificial intelligence deception is so perfectly advanced that it's become a lot of people's reality. 21:33 And you say that's not true. Yes, it is true. In a recent poll and I'm going to have to show you the numbers on this In a recent poll done by Quinnipie or whoever it was I don't remember who it was there was a recent poll that showed where more people between 15 and 25 would prefer to have an AI relationship with a device personally than the hassle of having a human friendship, because it's just too hard to have. Ai, deception becomes a reality, an altered universe. Today, people are walking around in our world, certainly in America, with an altered universe going on in their head. 22:16 Maybe you look at people and you can't believe what I'm saying is true, because you still look at people and you see that person in need, or that person needs help, or that maybe he's hungry, or maybe you're going to get them a hotel, motel, stay for the night, you know, shower, because you care. Still. You still care Versus people who can't even see such things, versus people who can't even see such things Because in their reality, either AI and or their heart being so hardened by viewing everything through the synthetic lens that that effect has taken them over and they see something that is horrible and they cannot even have empathy or sympathy. And then I want to wrap this up by saying this it is so demonic right now that I don't want you to waste any moment in discerning the age and the times in which we're in right now, because in our world today, satan is afoot and the things of Satan are being promoted, so much so that if Islamicists in Hamas take captive a hundred hostages, jewish hostages. So what's the big deal? Who cares? What's the thing? Oh well, whatever you say well, I don't know if anyone ever said that. They may not have said it, they didn't say anything, you went on about your work, you just did your thing, and well, you know. That's what they do. They take Jews hostage and then Israel cares enough to go and attack Hamas to get their people out and notice. The whole rhetoric is Israel is slaughtering people and it's a genocide. They got to be stopped. Sanction them. United Nations, you need to condemn their actions. You see what's going on. 24:34 The book of Isaiah tells us. I do believe it's chapter 5 of the book of Isaiah. I may be wrong, but the book of Isaiah, God says in the last days, men will call good evil and evil good. They will say light for darkness, darkness for light. We're living in those days right now. The only hope for America you should know this by now is not going to come from the White House. It's impossible. It's not going to come from your state capitol. It's impossible. 25:10 You say, Jack, are you going to give up on getting people to register to vote and to vote biblical worldview values? No, never. I'm not saying abandon that. We have to shine the light, we have to be witnesses and we have to be engaged in our republic, of course, but don't expect morality, healing and salvation to come from political powers. Our politicians today are trying to deal with problems that politics cannot heal, that politics cannot cure, because America has ejected God from our schools, from our government, from the halls of power, from the civic square. We are now reaping the results of a godless age. 26:05 The scriptures tell us in Proverbs 4, verse 23, guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it springs forth the issues of life. That's the cure. But if we don't guard our hearts, these are the beginning of sorrows in our nation and I pray that with all that's taking place, at least God's people will wake up. But that presupposes God's pastors waking up and proclaiming truth from the pulpits. The answer is in the church, the answer is in the word of God. We've got to get back to him if there's hope for this country. Heavy podcast. I know All true. Be careful, protect your children from social media, protect your children from screen time, protect your children from devices and protect yourself. Be an example, by all means. Until next time, God bless. 27:12 - Speaker 1 This Jack Hibbs podcast, as well as all the broadcast outreach opportunities, are listener supported?
