0:00 Hey everybody, we are about to do a 60-second rapid-fire series. I do not know what the questions are. Are you ready? I hope I'm ready. Let's go. Who came first, Adam and Eve or cavemen and cavewomen? I'm a bit lost on this question. It doesn't make sense to me as far as the timeline with Scripture versus a long, long time ago with dinosaurs and cavemen. I get this question a lot. Yeah, first of all, there's no evidence whatsoever of cavemen. None. None. We have been taught from a secular worldview claiming that it's science that there are cavemen and cavewomen walking around with dinosaurs.
0:43 truth of the matter is found in the book of Job, Adam and Eve were created first regarding the caveman situation because there are no cavemen, Adam and Eve. And look, the book of Job tells us that there were people on the earth after Adam and Eve who walked with the dinosaurs. Go read the book of Job. So it's very, very clear. I think personally that the dinosaurs didn't make it on the Ark or if they made it on the Ark, they were little lizards that wound up growing up into post-flood dinosaur types like, I don't know, things like the crocodile or alligator. But Adam and Eve, they were the first. There were no cavemen or women before them.
1:23 Was that 60 seconds? That was less than 60 seconds. My question is, when on the prophetic timeline after the rapture, does the marriage supper of the Lamb take place? I've heard during the seven-year tribulation and also have been taught that it takes place after we return with Jesus on the earth. Yeah, there's great debate as to the timing of where the marriage supper of the Lamb takes place. By the way, it's no topic to get into arguments about. It seems as though there are great arguments for it taking place during the tribulation period while the church is in Revelation 19. Go look at Revelation chapter 19.
2:05 And read then Isaiah chapter 26 verses 19 to 21 for a correlation because it appears that it takes place in heaven above because the bride of Christ returns to earth in the second coming with Christ. Now, this is where the other view comes in. Does that mean then when he returns to establish his kingdom that that's when the marriage supper of the lamb happens or the celebration? Good arguments on either side. I'm just happy I'm going to be there. I hope you are too. Make sure that you are in the bride of Christ who's not invited. She is the very one who is the marriage supper of the Lamb focal point between Christ and her.
2:48 How did you know you were called to be a teacher of the word? Through unbelievable years of blood, sweat, and tears, not so much blood. I did not intend to ever be a Bible teacher. I was not looking for that. I was happy in my career. I could have retired way by now in my career. But when Lisa and I—I've always had a very— From the moment I got saved, I had a very, very serious commitment to Bible doctrine. It wasn't until we moved to Chino Hills out of Costa Mesa that we began to do a home Bible study. And it grew and it grew and it grew and it grew. And they all wanted a church, but I did not want to be the pastor.
3:29 And that's when I began to fast and pray to see who should take the home group and make it into a church. And during that year and a half period of time, that's when God began to speak to me. And I was grateful looking back that I had all the education for that. But wow, God did that. And so it was something that I never really desired. It's something that I obeyed. Those are long 60 seconds. Are you sure your timer's right? I think you need to get a new. Anyway. Ezekiel describes a temple. Which temple is it? The restored temple or the future temple since the dimensions are different?
4:09 Beautiful question. Great question. Read Ezekiel chapters 40 to the end of the book. It's the millennial temple. It's the future temple. It's the temple that will be in operation after the second coming. When Jesus returns, that Ezekiel temple will be reestablished. Read Ezekiel 40 all the way to the end. Quite awesome. Should we pay attention to the book of Enoch or the Ethiopian Bible? No, I think you should just read the Bible. There's a reason why the church fathers did not include those books. Big reason. And one of the reasons is there was not expositional constancy among the books.
4:54 And so there's a lot of debate going on right now among those who are somehow super duper. They want to see themselves as super duper educated, high shelf intellectuals that want to talk about church structure, liturgical things, and all of that. They want to focus on church fathers and church history. When I say church fathers, I'm not talking about the disciples and the apostles, but I'm talking about those who focus on men and men's institutions. There's a big swell right now taking place. Watch out for that, everybody, because very rarely do they talk about being born again, studying the Word of God as God has preserved it for us, and focusing on Christ and the blood and His atonement instead of church membership and rituals.
5:42 Be careful. That's a big deal right now. What does Jesus mean when He says, And whatever you loose on earth, I will loose in heaven. These are things that you and I as Christians have the authority as believers to stand upon the word of God and make come to conclusions, make judgments, exercise church discipline and conduct ourselves regarding the realm of the spirits. What authority do we have? All that which Christ has given us. We can only bind what God gives us the authority to bind. We can only loose that which the Lord has given us authority to loose.
6:25 And so it is simply, here's how you can remember it simply. It is simply us walking in the power and the obedience of the word of God and through the authority of the Holy Spirit. Don't make it some big thing. bizarre Pentecostal type of thing where you go around doing this and that like super figures or action figures. That's not it. Is Solomon in heaven? Absolutely Solomon's in heaven. I think it's pretty clear. In fact, I love your question for this reason. Why would you doubt if Solomon's in heaven? Well, because he had a bunch of wives. He got into all this stuff about pleasing himself, money and this and that.
7:08 Oh, you mean like most people or if all people on the planet? How many Christians have lost their way and then came back? I absolutely not only expect to see Solomon in heaven, but Solomon could probably come up to us and say, you know what, look at me. I am the biggest blunder. And I'm a living testimony here in heaven of God's great grace. Yeah, the fact that people like Solomon are in heaven is awesome. Here's the guy that spooks me out. I don't think King Saul ever made it to heaven. It's my opinion. I hope he's there. But that guy, it's hard to see if he was a real believer or not, King Saul.
7:48 But Solomon, yeah, I have no doubt about King Solomon. Is it true that if you ask for anything in prayer with thanksgiving, according to God's will, and believe, he'll give it to you? Can I pray for someone's salvation and be assured that that person will be saved? No, you're asking two different questions, believe it or not. By asking one, you're asking two, actually. God has promised us to answer exactly as you said a moment ago, friend. If it's God's will, we pray according to his will. We pray with thanksgiving and we pray believing, standing upon the word of God. God will perform that because it's in alignment with his will.
8:30 But when you come to somebody's salvation, watch this. In fact, there's some cults that do this. They, by their intercession or by their baptism, they become the Savior by saving others because of their prayer and their baptism for that lost individual. That is anathema to the Word of God. That's blasphemous. When it comes to the salvation of somebody, you cannot... You and I do not have that ability to claim their salvation or to pray and know that God is going to save them. No one knows this. Because that is something that is between God and that unbeliever. That unbeliever must make that decision on their own.
9:14 But by all means, you pray for that unbeliever to come to the light, to come to salvation. But you cannot save them by your prayers. That's not even biblical. What are your thoughts on communion and full emerged baptism? Is it necessary to be saved or not? Absolutely not necessary to be saved. Those are manifestations to be practiced in what is known as serodotal or sacraments. Those practices are only for those who have been saved. You get born again first, then you get baptized and or share in communion.
9:56 But you must never share in communion unless you're born again, ever. And you must never be baptized unless you're born again. That's why, at least the church that I pastor, based on the understanding of Scripture, we never baptize children unless children can tell us that they believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. And then we always ask them, what did Jesus save you from? And some five-year-old might say, from lying or from kicking the dog or from telling fibs to my mom. They understand sin. They get it. But they've got to be, you've got to be born again first, first, first, first, and then those sacraments, but never in the reverse.
10:38 And nor do they save you. You must be born again to be saved. The Bible says there will be no tears in heaven. With that, Will we not realize those loved ones that did not make it to heaven? I know I would cry if my daughter does not make it. And would I know she did not make it? Number, listen, this is a toughie. You said that there's no tears in heaven. That's not true. There are tears in heaven. It says that in heaven, he will wipe away. every tear. That's referring to what we believe as the day of judgment, the Bema seat, B-E-M-A, of Christ. When we see the opportunities we had to serve the Lord and magnify the Lord, and we didn't take them, we will probably weep for having misrepresenting him.
11:26 He will wipe those tears away. When it comes to anyone who's not saved, and were in heaven, we will not even know that they ever existed. You will not weep that your daughter or your wife or your husband made it to heaven. You won't even know who they ever were. You'll have no recollection of them. Why? They were never born again into the family of God. In eternity, they were never, never in the family. That's even more sad right now than your other statement. You'll have no recollection of them because they were never born again. Again. What should we believe about people who die and say they go to heaven and then are sent back?
12:10 So-called near-death experiences. I haven't heard one of those yet that I believe. I don't like them. They all contradict each other. In fact, you can buy books off the shelf. This kid dies. He sees Uncle Bill. But then everybody's got wings and all these stories about stuff. And the kid and everybody says, oh, that's that. And then somebody writes a new book because they died. And they saw this stuff. And then they came back. And they've got pictures or images and stories that contradict the other guy. Notice that all these human experiences that people have life after death situations. almost always are contradictory of other people's stories. The only one I go for is Paul the Apostles when he records his being caught up to the third heaven.
12:58 He says he saw things that you're not supposed to talk about. I'm going to go with that. Once you have been saved, are you still a sinner? Once you're saved... You are absolutely still a sinner, but you are a rotten sinner. Let me explain. Remember before you were saved, you were really great at sinning? When you get saved, you become horrible at sinning. You can't even sin good anymore. We all sin. We're all sinners. And we are going to sin until the day that we die because we'll have a bad thought or a bad mood. But the fact is, Those of us who know Jesus, we don't plan on sinning anymore, even though we do.
13:46 It's a disgusting shock to us, and we repent of it immediately. 1 John 1, 9, and we immediately restore our fellowship with the Lord by confession and repentance. which backs up my argument, those of us who are Christians hate, hate our sin. We don't call people up to make appointments for sin. We don't go watch sin. We don't plan on sinning. We're altogether different. We hate the old man, the old sin man. I was Catholic before and I was saved and have so many Catholic friends that claim to be Christians but still pray the rosary and don't read the Bible. Can someone really be saved that has no interest in the Bible and prays to Mary?
14:31 I think the Bible is very clear that there's only one mediator between man and God and that is the man Christ Jesus. Isn't it interesting that the Catholic Church, I'm not going to say never, maybe there's an exception somewhere. But don't you think the Pope would proclaim, you've got to be born again, enter the kingdom of heaven, you've got to be born again? Did you know that Catholics don't hear that when they go to Mass? I think the answer to that is no, you need to be born again. Which, by the way, there's a lot of people in Protestant churches that aren't born again either. But if you're a Catholic and you're doing the rosary and you're praying to Mary, isn't it interesting? Mary's last words in the Bible were, do what my son says.
15:13 That's our last words. Listen, you can't get to heaven by talking to Mary. You can only get to heaven by having a relationship with Jesus Christ. And that's pretty critical. And listen, there's no Calvary Chapel people in heaven. There's no Catholics in heaven. There's no Lutherans in heaven. There's no Baptists. There's no Methodists in heaven. There's only those who are children of the Most High God, those who are born again by the Spirit of God. John chapter 3, those are the ones that are in heaven. There's no membership. There's no little churches up in heaven. Will those that have heard the gospel and rejected it before the rapture be able to be saved during the tribulation?
15:53 2 Thessalonians 2.11 speaks of God sending them a strong delusion. Yeah, I have to warn you. I have to give you this disclaimer. I am one of the few people I know that hold a strict view to 2 Thessalonians 2. I believe that those who can articulate the gospel right now, they can tell you, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Jesus is God, born of a virgin, died on the cross for the sins of the world. On the third day, rose again from the grave. And you must believe and trust him to be saved. Yeah, yeah. I don't believe that. Those people, I believe, based on 2 Thessalonians 2, can never be saved.
16:34 If the rapture happens today, they are the ones who God will send them strong delusion. And they will believe the lie that is forthcoming. We don't know what that lie is. And he says right there, and the reason why God blinds them to damnation is because they did not... Would not receive the love of the truth. Friends, look at 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 and you try to figure out who he's talking about. I think it's crystal clear. The answer is no way. Pastor Jack, what is your response when you are with someone, stranger or non-stranger, who takes God's name in vain or otherwise speaks perversely?
17:15 What should my response be? It depends on the setting. There's people that just cuss and curse around. And I think you need to conduct yourself wisely. What I would say is this. Whenever Lisa and I hear the name of the Lord in vain, we will say to a level that is not offensive, but it can be heard. They'll say, Jesus Christ. And we say, is Lord. Is Lord. We just fill in the is Lord part. It's really fun in a theater when it's dark. And somebody might say Jesus Christ in the theater. And we'll say is Lord. We might do it a little louder. And most of the times you hear people chuckle.
17:57 And then you don't hear Jesus Christ much anymore in the rest of the show. When the rapture happens, I'm wondering if God will stop time for the moment that he calls us up so that planes, cars, machines, etc. don't crash and cause destruction to those who will be left behind, including future believers. I know he has a plan, but this just has me wondering. No, his plan is bigger than your plan, my friend. His plan is so ginormous and big that, number one, no, he's not going to pause time because time itself is a law of God. He's not going to pause that. He's not going to pause and let the planes land and all that stuff.
18:40 He will know whoever perishes on that day, God knows that... Those are people who do not believe in him. When the rapture, if you're being flown to Hawaii and a Christian captain's at the wheel or the whole cockpit is born again, everybody who perishes in that plane, God knew that by his arrangement, those people were on the right plane. But he's not going to pause time. He won't need to because God works everything out to the nth detail. So you won't have to worry about that. You don't have to think about that. God will manage all of those intricate things. It's amazing to think, isn't it, that when people get on a plane today and the plane crashes, some are saved and some are not saved.
19:25 But in the moment of the rapture, those who are saved will be going up. There'll be people in a plane that will vanish. Right? Those who do not vanish are unbelievers, and they sadly will perish. When God told Adam that he could eat from any tree in the garden except the one in the middle, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, would Adam have known the word die and what it meant? How would he know what death was when he lived in a sinless world at that time? I believe that Adam was so incredibly perfectly smart that, and understood God's communication so perfectly. This is why their sin was so great.
20:09 They understood God in a fashion that you and I can't even fathom. They walked with him in the garden. And so when God said, in the day that you eat of it, you will die, Adam knew exactly that God was saying, in the day that you eat of it, you will suffer spiritual death. Because Adam didn't die that day, neither did Eve physically, did they? They lived on for 900 plus years before they died. They knew that what God just said was, if we eat of that fruit, we will spiritually die the moment we do that. That is something they knew perfectly. You and I, we don't even, we can't even imagine what Adam understood.
20:54 Think about it. To whom much is given, much is required. Adam and Eve, they were perfect and sinned against the will of God. Wow. When being baptized, does it matter what the person baptizing you says? Do they have to say in the name of Jesus, I baptize you? Recently, I was told that it was said, if it was said in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, that you just got wet and you are not actually baptized. Wow, you actually heard the exact opposite thing that's true. Somebody lied to you. Jesus says in the Gospels...
21:34 This is amazing. This all comes around from people not reading their Bibles. Watch. Jesus says, go out there and make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. And behold, I'm with you always. So here's what we do. When our pastors are baptizing, We baptize them. We tell them we are going to baptize you now in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. And we baptize you now in Jesus' name. Amen. And we immerse them all the way. They have to be all the way immersed. The word baptizo in the Bible means submerged. And we bring them back up. Listen, this is a big deal.
22:17 Just simply obey the Bible. Even, listen, Google knows this. Siri or Alexa. Ask Alexa. What does the Bible say about being baptized in whose name? The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. It's so simple. So don't let people deceive you like that. You're baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. And I believe that pastor... should then say, and I do this in Jesus' name. Amen. Why is the tribe of Dan not listed in the book of Revelation?
22:58 Ah, because the tribe of Dan, we cannot prove this, but Dan was always a stinker. Dan was always a tribe that was giving God a hard time. There is, and I'm sorry, this is real live stuff, no rehearsal, but, But go search for yourself. The Bible will tell you that from the tribe of Dan, there will be the riderless horse whose rider has fallen backward in the Hebrew scripture. And many believe that that is a reference to the Antichrist coming from the tribe of Dan.
23:38 Okay. It's a heavy speculation, but it is somewhat possibly applicable that someone from Dan will cause a horse to be riderless because the rider will fall backward from Dan. And Dan, the tribe of Dan is not mentioned because it could be that the tribe of Dan is the tribe where the Antichrist comes from, which, of course, would make him Jewish, which, of course, the Jews would never receive a non-Jew Messiah. That's important. How do we balance unity, differing views on the end times prophecy? Yeah, first of all, number one thing, there's always going to be views on everything.
24:24 So what do we do about that? We always let the Bible be the foundation because we cannot have unity. Unity is ridiculous if you think about it. in and of itself. You have to ask, what are we going to be unified around? That's why you have a constitution or a declaration or a Mayflower compact. Now we got it. So now we're going to unify on it. We've got the Bible. We find our unity upon the truth of God. And then you build the structure. And the structure allows us to have grace and mercy toward others who do not see things like we do. Um, Listen, there's some people who believe that all the gifts of the Holy Spirit are still in operation today.
25:05 I believe that. But there are those who are born-again brothers and sisters who are going to heaven, and they say, oh, no, no, there's only six of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in operation today. I disagree with them. They disagree with me. But I'm never going to fight with them about it. I think they're wrong, and I love them. Same is true for the rapture. I think there's people who say, well, I think he's going to come at the midpoint or whatever. Well, whatever. We'll talk about it on the way up. But I love you, but I think you're wrong. And you just tolerate one another. Not a problem. We need to grow some thicker skin. Since life begins at conception, what happens to the babies inside pregnant unbelievers during the rapture?
25:49 Yeah, isn't that a wild question? I have no idea. But I take issue with your question. Can you read it again? And I'll do the buzzer on you. At the moment of conception, life begins? Not true. At the moment of conception, an individual is created. But living sperm collides with living egg. It's all alive. And then a human being is then alive. by the explosion of information known only to God, an absolutely separate individual than the mother's person, another person is created.
26:29 Amazing. The baby inside, I don't know what happens. The baby's innocent, that's for sure. I don't know. I don't think anybody knows. I would like to guess. It's kind of weird to say this, but I think the baby might just be gone. Right? But I can't prove it, so nobody knows. I don't know. I'm sure you'll find somebody who knows. Last question. I feel like I can't trust anything I hear on TV or social media. Is there a place I can get good Bible teaching and honest news? Well, the first thing you do is you go to the Bible. because I know exactly how you feel about that.
27:11 I believe you. I'm like you. So look, we're serious about teaching the Bible. You can go to jackhibbs.com or the Real Life Network. So much materials that are there. And look, we're doing the best we can to be presenting to you the most perfect product possible to study the Word of God. And again, we're... We study and proclaim the Bible for what it says, not for what we want it to say. And then the Real Life Network, you should check it out because you should see how much vetting I do to say no to the people who want to be on the Real Life Network.
27:52 We say no to far more people than we allow on. We're doing the best we can to answer that concern of yours because I have it with you. maybe even more so. Well, hey, everybody, listen, bottom line is this. We're done right now, rapid fire. But listen, the Bible is always the answer. If you're not getting the answers from the Bible, you're not getting answers.
